WooHoo! I Have a Job!

Now I just need a place to live…. But for the good news: I have had five interviews with language schools. Two of them I did not like, one I liked but they really didn’t have any openings, and two I liked and they each offered me a position. It was a little difficult to decide since there were pluses and minuses to each job. One paid a little more, but the difference was insignificant enough not to be a deciding factor. Both offered the same type of contract, the preferred CDII (which means it is open-ended, not for a specified duration), for the same guaranteed minimum hours. One is close by while the other is on the outskirts of Paris, but both are geared toward teaching Business English and entail traveling to different companies.
I finally decided between the two and chose the company that offers more teacher support. Being brand new, I think I will need that. So, tomorrow morning I will sign the contract and begin working the next week, after I return from a weekend trip to Germany.
Now if I can just find an apartment . . .

Hey wow,
Congratulations, hugs and kisses Nancy!
We´re so glad to hear that you´ve got a job now. And the next thing will be that you find a home :-)

We will probably not go to the States this year, cause we have no savings and I still search for a new job, so we have to be patient...
We hope that you can rush in, when you come to Germany next time!
